ELEŞTİREL HABER ARAŞTIRMALARI: ELEŞTİREL SÖYLEM ÇÖZÜMLEMESİ, BRİTANYA KÜLTÜREL ÇALIŞMALARI İÇİN BİR YÖNTEM MİDİR?

Abstract
Bu makalenin konusunu eleştirel haber araştırmaları oluşturmaktadır. Çalışmanın bir ayağında yapısalcılık etkisindeki Britanya kültürel çalışmaları çerçevesinde bir haberin çözümlemesi yapılmıştır. Diğer ayağında ise makro-mikro şeması kullanılarak, eleştirel söylem çözümlemesi alanı açısından aynı haber çözümlenmiştir. Daha sonra bu ikisi karşılaştırılmıştır. Karşılaştırma sonucunda, birkaç kategoride aralarında benzerlik olmasına karşın çözümlemelerin büyük ölçüde farklılaştığı ortaya çıkmıştır. Örneğin Britanya kültürel çalışmaları açısından yapılan çözümlemede haber değerliliğinin ve objektifliğin ideolojik üretime neden olduğu belirmiştir. Buna karşılık, eleştirel söylem çözümlemesi için dilbilimsel kavramlar eşliğinde çok daha teknik bir çözümleme yapılmıştır. Sonuçta bu çalışmanın bulguları, iki alanı bir araya getirmek isteyenlerin gerek kuramsal, gerek yöntemsel ve gerekse de çözümleme bakımından dikkatli olması gerektiğini söylemektedir.

Abstract
The subject of this article is critical news research. In one leg of the study, a news analysis is carried out within the framework of British cultural studies, which is under the influence of structuralism. In the other leg, the same news was analyzed in terms of critical discourse analysis by using the macro-micro scheme. And then, the results of two analyses are compared. As a result of this comparison, even though there are few similarities in some categories, there are significant differences between two. For example, in the analysis carried out in terms of British cultural studies, it has been shown that newsworthiness and objectivity lead to ideological production. On the other hand, a much more technical analysis undertaken for critical discourse analysis along with linguistic concepts. In conclusion, the findings of this study suggest that those who want to bring the two fields together should be very careful in terms of theoretical, methodological and analytical issues.
